Moose at Sunrise - Maligne Lake, Jasper NP

Unbelievable... Yesterday I was at Maligne Lake in Jasper NP looking for moose like I usually do when I'm in the area. However, I've never seen them cross this river let alone cross with color in the sky. When the moose hit the water, I ran into position with the wrong tool. I had my D2h configured with my 70-200 f/2.8 AF-S VR with no time to really change anything. What to do? I shot, that's what I did. In this case, that meant shooting vertical at 70mm's. I so wish I had my 28-70mm f/2.8 AF-S. Anyway, when you bring a gun to a knife fight, you deal with what you have. Awesome.

Cheers
