This image was made at Mono Lake after a frantic evening shooting anything that would illustrate the Tufa Towers and capture the subtle hues of the sunset. My goal was to use this small bay to frame the towers and to give a receeding feeling.

There must have been 10 other photographers shooting the same area so using extreme wide-angle zooms required careful use to avoid unintentionally documenting another photographer at work.
