Sunrise Over Lancaster California

Nikon D1h, 14mm f/2.8, Gitzo 410, Kirk BH-1

This was almost a disappointed morning. I planned on shooting a local wildfire froma distance--10 miles. I woke up 1.5 hours prior to sunrise and made my way towards my planned shooting location. Not a mile from there a police road block denied my entrance. Unfortunately, I went with plan b but the problem was I didn't have a plan b. So, drove around some. Picked a spot that wasn't that inspiring. The only unique thing were the clouds. They're simply uncommon here this time of the year. So, I packed up not impressed with having wasted the morning the woken up too early when the clouds really began to light up. I pulled over and made two panoramics.

This is simply a four image pano made shot with the camera in the vertical orientation.
