Sunrise on Flight Deck

Sometimes the mornings on the Flight Deck at Bosque NWR are awesome. I had set out this day to photograph Snow Geese with a wide-angle lens and flash. I had hoped to take an in-flight image of a bird against the promising morning sunrise color. It never materialized. However, the mist grew on the pond which was easily isolated with my 300mm lens with 2x tele-converter. I increased the contrast slightly with the Levels Tool in Photoshop and applied a small amount of saturation. Essentially the colors are true.
