Snow & Lodge Pole Pines

I had envisioned this an image like this for quite some time. I wanted to create a study of tree trunks and a vast panorama. Previously, all my attempts to bring my vision to reality resulted in failures. I couldn't quite create the wide expanse I envisioned without significantly affecting the total resolution of my image. I couldn't do it with one shot. A couple months ago I started to stitch several images together to make large panoramic files that didn't suffer from degradations due to cropping. Beyond stitching this image together, the other challenge was making the colors right with Photoshop. It wasn't a trivial task. Though the colors are quite brighter than actually seen, I think it's much nicer than the blue cast common when it's snowing like it was this morning.
