Snow Goose Landing

As a test pilot, I appreciate all things related to aerodynamics. Birds are especially interesting subjects. Here we have a Snow Goose in the landing phase beating his wings as hard as possible. Indictative of being near his maximum lift capabilities, the feathers on his back are flapping every which way. It's a sign of disturbed flow. It's very interesting to see up close like this.
