Like a lot of my Snow Geese shots taken in midday sun, I used the sunny-16 rules to determine my exposure. At f/5.6 and ISO 200, Sunny-16 says the exposure should be 1/1600sec. I subtracted another -0.7 ev to get 1/2500 sec to keep the whites from blowing out.
