Snow Geese are very homogenous. That means to me there's very little variation between one bird and another whether in looks or behavior. It's rare to see a bird doing his own thing and usually that's a sign the bird is in some kind of distress. This individual looked perfectly healthy but was down in a ditch trying to get a drink of water through the grass and ice while the rest of his mates were up the slope resting or chewing on the corn.
