Sandhill Crane In-Flight at Sunset
Nikon D1h, 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-S, Matrix Metering, 1/160sec, f/4, ISO 400, SB-28Dx, -1.7ev Fill, Better Beamer, Handheld, RAW Format
I was shooting some static Sandhill Cranes as the night approached but wasn't really excited about my results. By the time the sun was down, all the other photograhers shooting near me had left for the evening because the lack of "shooting light". I stayed and put on my Flash and Better Beamer Flash Extender. Not long later, the sky turned pink and the birds began to leave the corn fields for their night roost. While not the typically razor sharp image, the colors are amazing in my book.
