The great thing about the Nikon D1h is it has excellent high ISO capabilities. Generally you begin to see "grain" when the speed gets above ISO 500. Fortunately this digital noise looks very similar to traditional grain like that seen on film. Like a couple other of these images, the highly saturated look is completely related to adusting the contrast in Photoshope with the Levels tool. I cropped about 10% off the top to eliminate some dead space.
