I think this image is specatular though lots of people will fault the leg and wing tips being cut off. I personally don't think those "nits" detract from the incredible sharpness of this guy's eye. I had expanded my DOF by choosing a smaller aperture--f/8 verses f/5.6--which allowed me to keep my center focus sensor on his neck and still get his eye razor sharp. It almost looks like he's smiling. I cropped about 5 % off the top of the original file.
