That's me and my constant companion, Hooker, at Elk Island NP near Edmonton Alberta. I just spent the day shooting the images for my long lens technique article.

Hooker is pretty much a full breed Queensland Heeler that I adopted from the pound when he was only a year old. Very much the cooperative companion that I take for most of my photography forays. I don't let him out when there are large mammals around or very sensitive birds--that's too much to ask for from dog or beast. Pretty much for anything else, he follows me around waiting for the next discovery around the corner.
