Snow Geese Taking Off At Bosque Del Apache NWR, New Mexico, November 1999
TABLE OF CONTENTS

White Sands NM, New Mexico
Located in Southern New Mexico, White Sands National Monument is located in the Alamogordo Basin. The sunset and sunrises are consistently more exiting here than anywhere else I've lived. The thunderstorms, winds, and sand storms combine to create spectacular sunsets against mountain ranges. Combined with pure white jipsen sand, White Sands NM is a particularly awesome location for these incredible events.

Bosque Del Apache NWR, New Mexico
I lived for almost three years in Southern New Mexico and did not visit this wonderful location once. In November 1999 did I make my first and only visit and I still long to return. The birds are everywhere in the winter and the quantity change consistently throughout the year. There's something for everyone here and the best part is almost all of it is easily accessible to the photographer.

Homer, Alaska
I finally went to Alaska for a photography trip. My chosen destination was the highly controversial Bald Eagle location. Homer is known in the nature photography locations for its incredible close access to these magnificent birds. A woman openly feeds these birds during the winter to enhance their survivial. The result is incredibly close opportunities to these normally very shy animals. It was a wonderful experience.

Owens Valley, California
Owens Valley is a particularly spectacular location that showcases the Eastern Sierra Mountains. The eco-systems are many and varied that include the heights of the highest point in the Contiguous United States, to the broad fields of the Owens River valley.

Crowley Lake, California
Crowley Lake is part of the vast Los Angles water network. Along with providing a major portion of the water for the City of Los Angles, Crowley Lake also doubles as a great fishing haven and birding location.

Antelope Valley, California
This valley encompasses the large desert region just north of Los Angles. My Air Force home--Edwards AFB, is located there. In initial inspection, the region doesn't show much to photograph but, with some effort there are some tremendous opportunities.
