Getting this image was quite a challenge. I spent a frustrating couple of hours pointing at one squirrel hole with my 300mm lens when this guy would pop his head out checking me out. He was only 10 feet away but I couldn't get his image with my cameras. So, I setup my remote cable cord, placed the camera at his entry way, layed down, and hoped for the best. About five minutes later, he poked his head out and got this. I tired to repeat it several other times without success.
