Whilte shooting shorebirds at Jesse Lake in Alberta, occasionally I got a few surprises like this swallow. They'd fleetingly stop on the mud to feed and scan be for a second or two. Taking their pictures is a compromise between jumping into action and moving slowly to avoid scarying off the subject.
